Privacy Policy

In this policy:

• Account: the account you create by signing in with Google.
• Company, We, Us or Our: GeotagImg.
• EXIF Viewer: our metadata viewer at /exif-data-viewer, which runs entirely in your browser.
• Editor: our geotagging tool at /editor, which processes your photos on our server.
• Personal Data: any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person.
• Service: the GeotagImg website and its tools, available at https://geotagimg.com/.
• You: the person using the Service, or the organisation on whose behalf that person uses it.

• EXIF Viewer: your image is read in your browser. It is not uploaded to our server.
• Editor: when you add photos, they are uploaded to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The server writes the GPS, keyword, description and copyright metadata you choose, and compresses or converts the file if you ask it to.
• Retention: uploaded and processed files are deleted automatically. A cleanup job runs every hour and removes every file older than 90 minutes, so a file stays on our server for at most about 2.5 hours.
• We keep a short record of each upload (file name, file size, your account ID if you are signed in, and the time) to apply plan limits and prevent abuse. This record does not contain the image.
• We never sell your images or share them with third parties.

• Account information: your name, email address and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
• Usage information: how many photos you process each day, for plan limits, and technical data such as IP address and browser type, used to secure the Service.
• Purchase information: the plan you bought and its status. Card and billing details are collected by Paddle, not by us (see Payments).
• Preferences: language, compression settings and saved metadata or watermark presets.
• Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated usage events through Google Analytics.

• To run the Service: process your photos, keep you signed in and apply your plan's limits (25 photos a day on the free plan).
• To manage your account and your purchases.
• To improve the Service, using aggregated analytics where you have consented.
• To answer support requests and send messages about your account or purchases.

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (Paddle), which acts as our merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment and billing details, handles tax, and issues receipts and invoices under its own privacy policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy. We receive only what we need to activate your plan, such as your email address, the plan, the transaction ID and the subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that run the Service for us: Google (Firebase sign-in and, with your consent, Google Analytics), Paddle (payments) and our hosting provider. Each may use the data only to provide its service.

All traffic to and from the Service is encrypted with HTTPS. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, and uploaded photos are deleted automatically as described above.

You can use the EXIF viewer without an account. You can decline analytics cookies in the cookie banner. To delete your account and the data linked to it, email support@geotagimg.com.

Our Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
