Cookiebeleid

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their websites work efficiently, enhance user experience, and provide reporting information.

• First-party cookies: Set directly by GeotagImg to store essential application state, language preferences, and authentication sessions.
• Third-party cookies: Set by external services (such as Google Analytics or Google Maps) to enable interactive maps, security checks, and usage analytics.

We use the following categories of cookies across our platform:

• Essential & Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for operating the site, authenticating user sessions, enforcing rate limits, and processing image geotag metadata.
• Functional & Preference Cookies: Store your preferred locale language, theme settings, default export formats, and compression presets.
• Analytics & Performance Cookies: Collect aggregated telemetry on website traffic, page performance, and editor usage to help us improve site speed and reliability.
• Third-Party Service Cookies: Enable Google Maps map tiles, place autocompletion, and secure Google OAuth single sign-on.

You have the right to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences through our on-site cookie consent banner or by adjusting your web browser settings. Most web browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Please note that disabling essential cookies may impact certain interactive tools like map rendering and session saving.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
